When you read the labels on the vitamin E. bottles, if there is a “dl” in front of the description, that means the vitamin E is synthetic. But if there is a “d” in front of the description, that means it’s genuine vitamin E. So the label of synthetic vitamin E would read “dl-alpha tocopherol,” but the genuine vitamin E would be labeled as “d-alpha tocopherol.”
