Eczema on eyelids can often be hard to treat due the thin skin which is around the eyelids.

The symptoms of eyelid eczema can vary from person to person, but on the whole they will consist of raw flaky skin around the eye area which can become red and inflamed. Also the urge to scratch and rub the skin around the eyes can be difficult to resist.

The thing is though however much you are tempted to scratch or rub, you must do your best to avoid this. Simply because scratching your itchy eyelid eczema skin will result in the skin becoming further inflamed, resulting in the skin cracking and the potential risk of some kind of infection setting in.
