Eczema is a very tormenting skin condition which is experienced by people of all ages, from infancy to adulthood. Eczema has many types but some of the common signs and symptoms include red, dry, inflamed skin. For people suffering from this condition, it can be extremely itchy, produce burning sensations and in severe cases cause blisters and sores. Eczema is not only developed by humans but there is also eczema in dogs.

Since dogs are unable to voice their thoughts and feelings, how would an owner recognize eczema in dogs? Eczema in dogs is quite similar to the eczema in humans. A dog will develop red, dry patches that are inflamed and sore looking. Where these patches of eczema are the dog will have lost their fur or hair. As long as there is a spot of eczema, the fur will not grow back. Of course since eczema is quite itchy, the owner will notice the dog scratching the affected area quite frequently. This can be quite harmful since continuous scratching will certainly cause the area to become sore and probably bleed. If unattended, this eczema in dogs can become infected.
